Jim Silman was the latest of the early broadcast legends to be featured on Channel 10's (Fairfax County Public Access) OUT OF THE PAST program.
Chuck Langdon (former head of WTOP-FM's "The Young Sound" (mid '60's) and yours truly were two of the original hosts of OUT OF THE PAST, and we've returned as temporary hosts , by request, to fill in until a new permanent producer and host can be found.
Chuck and I are taking advantage of the opportunity to showcase some of the outstanding Washington broadcasters of those early days.
When we first started hosting the show originally, we featured such luminaries as Julian Barber, Ranger Hal, Granny Clink and Ed Bliss. Lately, we've added Don Richards, Ed Walker and Jim Silman.
