HERR DONALD W. HERR (Age 83) Of Hedgesville, WV, died September 30, 2008, at the VA Medical Center. Born October 13, 1924 in Lancaster, PA, he was the son of the late Walter Herr and Cora Kamm Herr. He retired from CBS Radio as a broadcast technician. Mr. Herr was a veteran of World War II serving with the U.S. Navy. He is survived by two sons, Donald "Jim" Herr, of Rockville, MD and John "Jack" Herr, of San Juan Capistrano, CA; six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two brothers, Charles Herr, of Friendly, TN and Andrew E. Herr, of Rockville, MD; and one sister, Charlotte Beaver, of Rockville, MD. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Shriver Herr. Funeral services with Military Honors will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, October 4, 2008, at the BROWN FUNERAL HOME. Interment a Providence Cemetery will be held at later date. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 noon prior to the service.
