WTOP-TV's first Art Director Dies at 83

Peter Masters, 83, who escaped Austria in his teens and fought in a British commando unit during World War II, and who later became a prominent television art director and government graphic designer, died March 21 of a heart attack while playing tennis at Georgetown Preparatory School in Rockville.
